Condolence Messages

  1. Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss, I was a former co-worker with Delvis back in the day, he was always a kind and caring person who kept me laughing every time I would see him. He had a very sharp wit and always kept himself on point, whether it be professionally or in a low key setting. Someone I could respect and know where I stood whether it be a month or years in between. May god comfort his family during this time of sorrow, in Jesus name we pray Amen.

  2. Jerald L. Blankenship, Sr.

Delvas – your smiling face and warm spirit will be missed by all of us who knew you. It is always a sad thing one when of God’s lights is extinguished unexpectedly.

Notwithstanding, you now stand in the presence of Christ, and you are able to see the face of your beloved Lauren once again.

So, while we will miss you, we know it will only be a short time until we see you again.

To all those of us who are hurting – take heart. Delvas is in the best place that any soul can ever be.

    See you soon D.

I only knew Delvas a very short time. I worked with him and found him to be such a wonderful, burst of sunshine. It was obvious he was happy in his life, because he was always kind and smiling. He always made you feel like he truly enjoyed talking with you. He will truly be missed in the call center.

  5. I’ve had the pleasure of spending the last few months working with Delvas. In a short amount of time, it was clear what a positive and uplifting spirit he had. He was a great addition to our team and will truly be missed. May you find great peace in the wonderful memories that you have!

  7. Dalton, Dillard, Harris, & Gravely families

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Martin family, extended family and friends. We know God makes no mistakes, he only takes the best.

  8. Our hearts are heavy upon learning of the loss of Delvas. He was real; he was genuine; he was kind. His only fault was his unyielding faithfulness to TTUN. As a musician, he was par excellence. Rev Nana and I (and the rest of our family) are praying with you (and Jeffrey) and for you. We are so deeply sorry that we cannot be with you (Mommy says there’s no way we could be near you and NOT hug/comfort you.) during this pandemic. Know that Delvas will always be my “Deacon Meringue”. We love you…now, forever and always. V Shay Hunt & the Jenkins/Dandridge/Hunt Families.

  9. My wife and I met Delvas and family a little over 4 years ago. His genuine smile and kind demeanor was magnetic to everyone. His outward love for others and forgiving demeanor never wavered.

We connected like no other person we had ever met and so fortunate for the times our families spent together. Your spirit will live with us forever! God speed to Delvas and his family, we are all better human beings thanks to you and the Martin family.

  10. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. I used to work with Delvas years ago at Fifth Third Bank. Always had a smile and kept us laughing. Rest In Peace Delvas. To the family, I offer my condolences and may God be with you. God Bless.

I will never forget the time someone said we looked a like, and at the same time we both said “YUCK” and from that point, we became illegitimate twins! I will never forget about the time at Myrtle Beach (one of many) that you ask me to save you while swimminging in the ocean! To only realize that i was swimming in place, you had a like on your face like “DAAAAAAAMN” we both going to drown! I kicked harder, and reached you. This is when we both was able to kick our legs and was able to get though the ocean’s tide! You owe me one Twin!
