Dezjuano Elmio Blantez Johnson Sr. (Skip) was born on February 19, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Theodore Johnson and Nadine Mann.
Dezjuano was educated through the Columbus Public School System. He worked at Mt Carmel Hospital for 30 years where he retired.
Skip enjoyed breeding pigeons and spending time with his dogs Cortez and Prince Johnson. He loved going to church and was a faithful member of Temple of Faith.
Dezjuano Johnson Sr. departed his early life on March 26, 2021. He is preceded in death by his Father, Theodore Johnson; Mother, Nadine Mann; Son, Dezjuano Johnson Jr.; Brother’s, Theodore McCrary, Muezjunto Johnson (Irvin); Sister, Theodesa Mackey.
Dezjuano leaves to cherish his memory, Daughters, Lezjuana Fall, Dezjuana Johnson; Brother, Theodore Mackey; God Children, Alfreda Bullock, Brian Gamble, as well as a host of Grand Kids, Great-grandchildren, family and friends.
PUBLIC Visitation 11:00 AM and Private Funeral Service 12:00 PM Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Temple of Faith, 1441 Brentnell Ave. 43219.

My heart is truly heavy right now i just don’t understand why you had to leave me you was more than my cousin you was my brother my best friend we laugh together cry together and pray together we were two peas in a pot we love each other i know you said you was tired of suffering god heard your plea so he call you home on March 26 2021 i know your not suffering and your not in no more pain your back with your mother once again there will never be another Mr. Skipper Johnson nobody will never fill your shoes I’m gonna miss getting them daily phone calls from you asking me how I’m doing and the two of us just hanging out together being silly and having fun you and me and Cortez and powder just riding around i know cortez is truly gonna miss you but you can rest lonnie will take good care of him and prince will be taken care of also so keep watching over Loni and the rest of your family down here i know family was everything to you just like you was everything to us so my cousin rest on we love you but god love you more so Rest In Peace I Love You Mr Skipper Johnson Till We Meet Again February 19, 1951/ March 26, 2021

I am very sorry I was unable to attend the services. I enjoyed knowing Skip. He is in a much better place. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Lonnie and Juana I pray for your strength and peace during this time of great transition. Much Love!

My heart is heavy with the passing of our family member and friend. His handsome face, beautiful smile, loving and giving heart will never be forgotten! I can hear his laughter and him calling my name. Skip was more like a brother to Harry Eugene, Michael and I. His children and grandchildren are precious jewels that are cherished. He has left his mark in this world with his Love of family, Kindness, and the joy he expressed for our Lord and savior. Prayers for comfort and peace for the children and other extended family members and friends. I am comforted in knowing he has gone to be with our Lord where he will no longer endure pain or sorrow. He will be rejoicing with his mother whom he loved so dearly. Say hello to Gene and Michael my precious Skip. You were deeply cherished and loved!❤️❤️❤️
