Diane Thigpen Bolding peacefully passed on at The Kobacker House on March 3, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio at the age of 63.

Diane was born January 30, 1954 in Jones, Mississippi to AC Thigpen and Elsie Thigpen Estrada. As a child, the family migrated to Dayton, Ohio where she graduated from Dayton Dunbar High School. In 1971 she brought a beautiful daughter in the world, Shelly Thigpen. Later the family relocated to Columbus, Ohio where she began her career at The Ohio State University. After 30 years of employment with The Ohio State University, Diane retired in 2014.

Diane loved spending special time with her two grandsons, Jamar and Tony, that she always referred to as my handsome men.

Diane is preceded in death by her father, AC Thigpen; brothers, Ivey Cecil Thigpen, Mark Thigpen, Steve Thigpen and Clifton Thigpen.

Diane is survived by her mother, Elsie Estrada (Thigpen); daughter, Shelly Thigpen; son in law Antonio Kirksey; brothers, Bobby Thigpen (Freda), and Tommy Thigpen; grandsons Jamar Broomfield and Anthony Vance; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation 1:00pm and Memorial Service 2:00pm, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
