Dion Ingram, age 48, was called Home on Friday, May 5, 2017 at The Isabelle Ridgway Care Center. Dion, affectionately known as “D”, was born August 4, 1968 in Welch, West Virginia to Marva Ingram Shelton and the late Mike Martin.

 He attended Kimball Elementary School, Kimball Jr. High School and graduated from Welch High School. “D” was active in sports playing both football and basketball.  He was an avid fan on the Pittsburgh Steelers and “That Team Up North”, Michigan.

 Dion moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1987.  He was employed by Van Dyne Crotty Co. (Spirit Co.) and was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 1471.  He was previously employed by General Theming Contractors (GTC).

 Dion was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Susie and Tome Ingram, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Lucille and Lonnie Martin, Sr.; Stepfather, Robert Shelton; sister, Cassandra Jacks; uncles, Ralph Ingram, Tom Ingram Jr., Joseph Martin and Lonnie Martin, Jr.; and aunt, Ophelia Ingram.

 In addition to his mother, Marva Shelton (Columbus, OH), he leaves to cherish his memory, stepmother, Edith Martin (Columbus, OH); brother, and Varian “Pooh” Ingram (Lancaster, OH); sisters, Kimberly (Damon) Jackson (Canal Winchester, OH), Kesha Martin (Woodbridge, VA) and Monique Harvey (Waldorf, MD); special friend, Michelle Davis (Columbus, OH) and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation 2:00 P.M. Memorial Service 3:00 P.M. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Avenue.
