Dolores Ardelia Pettey, aka Speed Buggy, age 62, of Columbus, Ohio transitioned from her Earthly home to her Heavenly home on Monday, July 5, 2021. Dolores was born in Columbus, Ohio to parents Clinton A. and Signora J. Pettey on October 4, 1958.
Dolores was a graduate of South High School and studied at Columbus Technical Institute. Dolores was previously employed with Franklin County Public Health and City of Columbus Home Health. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend to many. She was a 29-year member of The Columbus Flames Motorcycle Club.
Dolores was preceded in death by her father, Clinton Pettey; sister, Senorie Gaston; and infant brother.
Dolores is survived by mother, Signora Pettey; sons, Lewis, Ja’Juan “Scooter”, and Quinton “Stretch” Pettey; daughter, Na’Jiyyaha “Sassi” Pettey; sister, Evelyn Howie; uncle, Lewis Pettey; nephews, Sanford II (Kerrie), Caleb, and Cyrus Howie; nieces, Sameaka Gaston and Sierra Lanier; cousin/chauffeur, Gregory Marshall; cousin, Tommy Martin; she was a foster mom and a host to many, many family members and friends. Special recognition to close family members and friends, too numerous to name.

Sincere condolences to the family. Grew up with the Pettey family, house on the corner of Geers and Forest. Me and my siblings stayed and feasted off the cherry tree they had in their yard a meeting place for hours where we ate cherries, laughed and talked what seemed like for hours.
Mrs. Pettey, Aunt Jessie, Senior and Delores a lifetime of memories to talk about. Rest in perfect peace Delores. You fought a good fight.
