Donna Jean Carr was born on Wednesday, March 28, 1951 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Charles and Inez Burns. She was called home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2019 peacefully surrounded by family.
Growing up with eleven siblings, Donna was born to stand out and grew up to be a woman of all trades with many different talents and skills. She was smart, educated, and enjoyed being active in her children’s schools, church, and community.
She resided in her hometown of Portsmouth, Ohio while raising her five children before moving to Columbus, Ohio to be closer to them. She enjoyed painting, pottery, sewing, sports, gardening, decorating, and cooking. She was vibrant and enjoyed the thrills in life like roller coasters, camping, playing in the snow and shopping with her children.
She is preceded in death by parents Charles and Inez Burns, brothers Kenneth, Robert, Lawrence, and sister Geri. And a son, Carlos Carr.
She was the beloved mother of Andrea, Carmen II, twins Kyle and Kyla all of Columbus, Ohio and Monica In Georgia.
She was adored by her 8 granddaughters and 5 grandsons. She also leaves behind to cherish her memories; sisters Patricia, Vivian, and Benita, brothers Gary, George, James, and Ben III., also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation 12:00 PM and Funeral Service 1:00 PM Friday, September 27, 2019 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.
Interment at Glen Rest.
Life is a gift. Death is sure. Salvation is the promise. May God comfort you in His most perfect way.
