Doris Ann Dumas 74 went home to be with the Lord January 14, 2021 at Grant Hospital. She was born on February 11, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio and daughter of Easter Corley and James Corley.

Doris graduated from Rutherford B Hayes High School, class of 1964. She worked for many years at Nationwide Insurance where she also retired. Doris was a perfect example of the definition of strength, fighting and beating a long battle with breast cancer.

She was often known to many as “Grandma Doris” because of her caring spirit and joy she brought to all who she has encountered in life. She enjoyed, baking for her loved ones, spending time with loved ones or doing a casual 2-step to her favorite artist R. Kelly.

Doris is preceded in death by her mother Easter Corley and father, James Corley. Brothers, Tyrone Corley and James Corley. Son James Corley and grandson Taylor Dumas.

Doris survived by her lifelong companion Leroy Wiley, brother Steven Corley, and sisters, Janet Henderson, Lou Lena Lipscomb and her spouse Joe Lipscomb. Son, Richard Corley and daughter Angela Dumas. Grandchildren, Dewana, Stephen, Josh, Ruquya, Kanisha, Daren, Destiny, Rechard, Nadia, Rsunn, Jamila, Amara, Samaya, Kenya, Arius and many loving great grandchildren.

PRIVATE Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.).

Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery 334 S. Sandusky St. 43015.
