Dearest Diarra,
My sincere deepest condolences! My heart is heavy with this sad news.
It seems not long ago we were kids sharing Christmas mornings & summer holidays as family. We were both only children & we enjoyed sharing all the things that seem important when you’re a young girl.
Aunt Dorothy was beautiful inside and out. She always greeted me with a big smile & open arms. I remember her as empathetic, joyful, laughing & enjoying a nice glass of wine over long conversations with soft jazz in the background. There was no pretense with aunt Dorothy, she was fun loving, real & true!
May grace and mercy surround you and your loved ones! Prayers that you may receive the peace she always so graciously wished upon all whom crossed her path!

Condolence from Nancy Briggs on January 6th, 2022 1:44 am

Dorothy,
You will be greatly missed. It won’t be the same not seeing you outside tending to your plants, and stopping to chat with you. You have been the perfect neighbor for over 40 years, and I have always considered you my friend.
Diarra you have my deepest sympathy in the passing of your mother.
Love, Nancy and Paula Briggs

As I Reflect and Prepare to say Goodbye to my Dear Friend Dorothy Davis, I must say, Although there were times that we Did Not see Eye to Eye, we always shared a Loving bond as Big Sis and Baby Sis . Like if you Messed Around and said The Wrong Thing, about “Michelle and Barack Obama” ? The NBA Play offs, The Cavs or The Lakers and even The Super Bowl, You were in for a pretty lengthy Debate. Not on Her watch because she Wasn’t Having Any of That! Dorothy was a Beautiful Connoisseur of so many things. She had a 5-Star Mentality that made you want More. Dorothy was also a Business Woman and a Humanitarian devoting a lot of her Time helping Others. She would volunteer even when she didn’t really feel like it. She always encouraged people to Get Out and Vote! She always Promoted Better Health through Vitamins and Wisdom. Dorothy was also a good Cook. Her grilled Salmon and Crab Legs were Delicious and she made The Best and Healthiest Salads, always Colorful with such a variety. Really gonna miss her Salads and her Meaningful Greeting Cards and So Much More. Well, Until I get there I will continue to Play all your Casino games, especially hoping that you send some Luck My Way like we used to do. Instead of Goodbye my Dear Friend and Big Sis… Just Save Me a Good Seat Babygirl… Good Night. Much Love and Respect.

I’m still here thinking of Us and all the places we’ve gone and the things we experienced together for the First time. You would always say it feels like we’re Pioneers when we discovered something New. I get the biggest laugh when I think about You giving Me” a Mary Kay makeover and when you handed me the Mirror was Priceless and I’ll leave it there. Goodnight Babygirl…..
