Douglas was born July 13, 1966, the firstborn child of Douglas Sr. and Jacqueline McDowell, in Columbus, Ohio.

He leaves a massive hole in the hearts of his family and friends, who were entertained by his sense of humor, hilarious laughter, and advice. He truly was the life of the party and a Big Brother to all who knew him. He was a loving father to Lisa, Ryan, and Jaeson.

After graduating from Mifflin High school, he obtained his Bachelors of Electronic Engineering Technology from DeVry University. He worked in Cyber Security for several years prior to getting sick.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie Mae and Howard Jenkin Sr.; Mother, Jacqueline McDowell; Brother, Marquis Jenkins; Aunt, Debra Jenkins; and Cousin Charles Jenkins.

Public Walkthrough 9:00am – 10:00am followed by Private Visitation 10:00am and Private Funeral 11:00am Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Evergreen Burial Park. Mask and Social Distancing are required. Tickets required for Private Services.

  13. I was a classmate of Doug’s Mifflin c/o 84. I first met Doug in our eighth grade, which was the first school year of busing to achieve racial desegregation. Who knew that we would be meeting lifelong friends to last through high school and college. Then we reconnected on social media twelve years ago. His humor was unique (everyone knows that). So was his friendship.
