Mr. Eddie Wyckoff son of the late Jimmie Lee Wyckoff and Annie Mae Whetstone was born April 10, 1947 in Rockford, Alabama. He transitioned to his heavenly home July 27, 2021 at his residence.

At an early age Eddie was baptized and joined New Elam II Baptist Church. He attended Coosa County School System. As a young man Eddie traveled the world until he moved to Columbus, Ohio where he found his wife, Virginia Randall of 39 years. He was a self-employed mechanic. Eddie always had a story to tell about growing up in Alabama to keep you laughing. He was affectionately known as “Unc” to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linnie B. Wyckoff; and brother, MacArthur Whetstone.

He leaves to cherish his memories, wife, Viriginia Wyckoff of Columbus, OH; two sons, Roderick (Joyce) Williams of Columbus, OH, and Anthony Williams of Los Angeles, CA; daughter, Monique Williams of Columbus, OH; six sisters, Roberta Brager, Glenda Headen of Sylacauga, AL, Mary Ruth Wyckoff of Brooklyn, NY, MaeBell Leonard of Rockford, AL, Luretha Averett of Tampa, FL., Irish Sutton of West Covina, CA; one brother, John Presley of Rockford, AL.; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Greater St. Paul Church, 1602 Woodland Avenue. Interment at Evergreen Burial Park. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Eddie was such a humble soul. Always ready to tell a joke. Easy to talk to and he was a great story teller. I remember the many conversations we had about his experiences in Alabama. He went thru so much adversity and I was blessed to be in his presence. He will be missed.
