Ednah Adams

Ednah “Eddie White” Elizabeth Adams daughter of William and Julia Lee Adams was born July 27, 1938 in Chicago Illinois and departed this life at home April 30, 2022 surrounded by her grandson.

Ednah graduated from Dusable High School in 1956. Early in life she accepted the Lord as her personal Savior She attended several ministries including Bible Way, The Body of Christ Tabernacle and Rhema Christian Center. Eddie White was devoted to volunteering for many churches, serving the Lord wherever she was needed.

Ednah spent her middle age years working in Home Health Care, taking care of elderly patients for over 20 years.

Ednah loved her family very deeply. She was willing to do almost anything for any family member as long as God said it was ok.

Ednah was preceded in death by her father, William Lee Adams and mother, Julia Lee Adams; brothers, Edward, Thomas, William, Percel, Nathaniel and Leslie.

Ednah leaves to celebrate her life her devoted Grandson, Antonio (Tony) white; loving sister, Beatrice Avery; daughters, Tamara White, Eureka White and Cheryl Pryor; son, Walter Pryor; grandsons, Pierre Pryor, Kweisi Agboh, Rahshawn White, Latrou Agbohla and Carl Wells; granddaughters, Cherice Lemons and Genesis White; nieces, Tanya Lydia and Jarneen Towsand, over 25 other great-grandchildren and 15 great great-grandchildren. Her extended family includes Tania Burton, Jennifer Watson and Katrina Walker as well as close friends, other relatives, and a host of spiritual sisters and brothers.

Ednah Elizabeth Adams, age 83. Sunrise July 27, 1938 and Sunset April 30, 2022. Visitation 1:00 PM and Memorial Service 2:00 PM Thursday, May 19, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd).
