BattleEdward

Our Lord and Savior called home “Man of Faith” Edward Battle Jr on July 3, 2020. Edward was born to parents Edward and Eloise Battle on April 11,1960 in Columbus Ohio. Edward attended Linden McKinley High and worked for Ohio Department of Taxation. He lived life passionately, enjoyed fishing, cooking, sharing his music talents, and spending time with his precious loved ones.

At a young age Edward’s grandmother, Annabell Reed, made sure he received guitar lessons, from then he perfected his talent and became the best guitarist. He shared his talents with other musicians, church, and special events. Edward found joy with instructing and assisting others with their musical talents as well as instructing an “old school” teaching of reading music.

Edward is preceded in death by his father, Edward Battle Sr. and grandmother, Annabell Reed.

Edward leaves to cherish his precious memories, mother, Eloise Battle; wife, Pamela Battle; sisters, Etta (Carl) Ransom, Erica Battle, and Ella Battle; children, Loretta Ford, Norvida (Steffon) Battle, Edward (Kay) Battle, Anitra Fluellen, John (Shaniqua) Battle, April Ford, Allen Ford, and Sheree (Ron) Jackson; daughter in law, Keya Battle; precious grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

We will miss him dearly and constantly keep his spirit in our hearts.

Booty, I must say I am still lost for words. I will miss your sweet soul but most of all your goofy laugh…You left a very impressionable impact on earth, I know you will continue in heaven. Please say hello to my mom and dad, all those who’ve greeted you at the gates of heaven.
To the family, I wish you peace and solitude as you walk through this difficult time.

God is always with you.
