Edward Lee Walker was born to Robert and Louise Walker on July 16, 1943 in Kimball, West . The family later moved to Columbus, Ohio. He was called to eternal rest Monday January 2, 2023.

Edward was educated in the Columbus Public School System. He entered the United States Army receiving an honorable discharge. At an early age Edward acknowledged Christ and was baptized at Oakley Ave Baptist Church by Reverend Jacob Ashburn. He later joined Pilgrim Baptist Church and gained a fishing buddy. Ed loved fishing, hunting, shooting pool, playing cards and playing sports . He was also a good joker and loved to make people laugh.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Louise Walker; sisters, Johnnie Mae (Freddie) Robinson, Elizabeth Ware; brothers, Robert Walker Jr., Melvin (Bettye) Walker and Freddie Jerome Walker.

Edward leaves to cherish his memory brother, Herman (Patricia) Walker, brother-in-law. Howard L. Ware Jr.; sisters, Reverend Gloria J. Gaddy, Elouise Walker and Macie Strickland as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Mr. Edward Lee Walker, age 79. Sunrise July 16, 1943 and Sunset January 2, 2023. Visitation 1:00 PM and Funeral Service 2:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2023 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Dayton National Cemetery.
