Elder Michael D. Pearson Sr., age 64. Sunrise October 1, 1951 in Huntsville, AL and Sunset October 24, 2015 in Columbus, OH. Michael was a Computer Graphics Specialist at Battelle. He was an Ordained Elder at The Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies. He was preceded in death by his mother Ethel Strain, sister Celestine Strain and brother Joseph Townsend. Left to cherish his memory, wife Deborah Pearson, son Michael Pearson II, sister Regina Strain, brothers Stanley Townsend, Larry (Carolyn) Pearson, Van Strain, Vernon (Crystal) Strain and Bill Newman and a host of other family and friends. Visitation 5:00pm and Home Going Celebration 6:00pm Sunday November 1, 2015 at Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies 870 St. Clair Ave. Procession will leave Higher Ground at 9:30am Monday for 10:00am interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates. Surely, it is for just such a time as this that we live holy, walking by faith, and observing to do all that our Lord Jesus Christ has commanded us. And we do so motivated by a love of God just for being who He is! In His infinite wisdom, He has seen fit to call His servant Elder Michael Pearson from labor to reward. Our hearts go out to Sis Deborah, to Michael, Jr. and to all the family at this time of your bereavement. Be encouraged to know with all assurance of faith that this labor is not in vain in the Lord! You are in our hearts and in our prayers; surely, God’s grace is sufficient for you. Sorrow not, as others who have no hope! Rejoice in the exceeding great and precious promises of Him who has promised to come again and to receive His people unto Himself. Be strong in the grace which is in Christ Jesus! Look up; for our redemption draweth nigh. Be strong, and of good courage; and the Lord will strengthen thine heart!
The world has lost more of its salt with a Special Friends passing in Mike. Peace be with Deborah and all of Mike’s friends and family. Thanks be to Jesus, we will be seeing Mike again and this time there will be no more death. You will always be in our heart.

The world lost a real life Angel. Uncle Mike was one of the kindest, loving and supportive men I have ever known. I will miss him so dearly, he was always there to keep me uplifted when I was going through rough times. I thank the Lord for allowing me the privilege of knowing such a wonderful man.

Debbie and Mike II, we are so sorry for your loss and are praying for your strength. Since first meeting you guys when Victor was in kindergarten and through the years I have always had fond thoughts I of you guys. Even those it’s been years since we’ve talk, I still care deeply. Elder Mike was more than a friend, he was another brother and a member and strong supporter of Build the Bridge of Ohio and Higher Ground Prison Ministries.
