Elder Willie Perkins, 78. Heaven Sent July 31, 1942 – Heaven Bound October 15, 2020. Willie was born in Gordo, AL and later moved to Mansfield, OH where he met and married the love of his life Rosa (Smith/Feagin) Perkins. Willie retired from Abbott Laboratories where he worked as a Serviceman for Department 46. He also served God at Greater St. John, The Oasis of Love as an Elder; Sunday School Teacher, Prison Ministry, Usher and DOC Ministry; he also was a mentor at Mansfield Senior High and Malabar Middle School. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Otis Perkins, Rosie Mae Martin and Adolphus Martin, and sister, Dorothy Blakney. Left to cherish his memory, wife of 49 years, Rosa Perkins; son, Anthony (Jackie) Feagin; daughters Rose Marie Feagin, Bridget Denise (Sixto) Rodriguez and Kimberly Renee Perkins; grandchildren, Anthony Alexander Feagin, Michael Rodriguez, Christopher Davis, Samantha Feagin, Aaron Rodriguez, and Amya Boyd and a host of other family and friends. My deepest condolences to my Ohio family
Sorry to hear that a great warrior has passed away. I loved Eld. Perkins, because he was so down to earth. It could never be said of him, that he was so heavenly minded, that he was no earthly good, he truly was a fine Christian gentleman. I’ll truly miss teasing him. My heart and thought s are with you during this time of transition.
You and The Perkins family have or prayers and our deepest heart felt condolences, Elder Perkins was a kindhearted, Godly gentleman, full of laughter, i know mother Perkins was proud to be his Godly spouse,he will be greatly missed ,the smiles , the greetings.ect.

I had the pleasure of working with Willie at Hospira for near 20 years. He was a hard worker with a fun personality, making our 12 hour days not feel so long. He spoke so lovingly about his Rosie, that we teased him about his Rosebud. He told us cute stories of grandchildren. Remember you and Sis Perkins picking me up for church every week. I enjoyed the stories you would share about when you first came to Mansfield and my dad showed you around. I would look forward to you dropping off the other kids first and we would go to the dairy queen before evening service. I remember you telling me as a young man to study the word and know it for yourself. I thank God for you being in my life. I love the Perkins. Rest on Elder Perkins. Tell my dad I said what’s up lol
