Elizabeth Ann (Brannon) Carolina, age 83, was born on March 12, 1941 in Columbus, OH to Anniebelle and Lusher Brannon. She was the 7th born of 10 children. She attended Columbus Public School and graduated from Central High School. Elizabeth departed this earthly life Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Mt. Carmel St Ann Hospital.

Elizabeth retired from the Lazarus Department Store Downtown Columbus, OH after over 30 years of service as a Cake Decorator. She was known as the best cake lady in Ohio. She also worked part-time at Columbus State College, Giant Eagle, and Dollar Tree as a cashier throughout the years until her health failed.

Elizabeth was a world Cruise Traveler for many years and enjoyed going to the Amish country to shop. She beautified her yard every year with flowers that were admired by her neighbors.

Elizabeth accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the Late Elder Richard Holmes at Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ where she remained a member until her passing.

Elizabeth was proceeded in death by parents, Anniebelle and Lusher Brannon; son, Wayne Brannon Streeter; brothers, Nathaniel and Joseph Brannon; and sisters, Maybelle Butler and Luella Barfield.

Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Elizabeth “Buttons” Brannon and Luetta (Isaac) Bozman; brother, John H. Brannon; sisters, Mary R Trimble and JoAnn (Charles) Fields; grandson, Antoine Bretney Brannon; special nephew and caregiver Robert “Bobby” Brannon; special friends, Sis. June Watson, Sis. Wanda Stamps, and neighbor Mr. Ron Snodgres whom she could always depend on; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, Mt. Zion church family, co-workers, and friends.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Friday, April 26, 2024 at Mt. Zion COGIC, 1466 Atcheson Street.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.

  6. So sorry for the loss of our dear Elizabeth. I enjoyed working with her at giant eagle. I love her being Fiesty with the customers she took no crap . She also brought us cupcakes for holidays, very sweet lady. Rest in peace we will miss you.
