Emma Louise Greathouse Prater, age 74, was born October 22, 1942 in Fort Payne, Alabama and departed this life on May 11, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio.
Emma is preceded in death by her mother, Louise Hollie, husband Earl Frank Prater Sr.; daughter, Carolyn Prater; and grandkids, Ligmund Prater and Maurice Hall.
Emma leaves behind to cherish her memory, brother, James Bougit, sisters, Linda Kay Moore, Dawautha Bougit and Donna Craig; children, Earl Frank Prater Jr., Deborah (Richard) Cook, Tina Hartway, Tony Prater, Wayne Prater, Christopher (Pamela) Prater, Lashonda Collins, AnSanquette Prater, Nicolas Prater, Rosalynn Prater, Sherry Prater and Regina Smith and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family and friends. Emma will be truly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Visitation 11:00 a.m. Funeral 12:00 p.m. Friday May 26, 2017 at New Generation, 1173 Essex Avenue.
