Ernest Eugene Lawson, age 86, was born June 26, 1933. Ernest went home to be with the Lord on June 29, 2019.
Ernest loved his family and friends. He always stayed in high spirits through all of the hospital stays, and being away from his family and church family. Ernest enjoyed being a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he attended for many years and was a member of the choir.
Ernest enjoyed traveling and visiting family once he retired from the Columbus City Schools he would travel with his bowling team which is called “Olympic 60.”
Ernest is preceded in death by his parents William Lawson, and Genezieve Lawson.
He leaves to cherish his memories; beautiful loving wife Loretta Lawson, sister Virginia Sneed, children Ernest (Mary) Lawson Jr., Jeffrey Lawson, Charles Bosley, Joyce Crockett, Victor Bosley, Elaine (Leon) Champion, Larry Bosley, Anthony (Pam) Bosley, and Tammy Hardy, also a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Ernest will be missed by all of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Visitation 12:00 PM and Funeral Service 1:00 PM Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1535 Dewey Ave.
Interment at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens
