Ernestine Fraley

Ernestine Fraley 1

Ernestine Fraley 87, passed away January 1, 2020 with her family by her side.

She was born to the late John B. Fraley and Della M (Moss) Fraley in Columbus, Ohio. Ernestine was a graduate of North High School, Columbus, Ohio. She was the ultimate professional, and instilled in her children the importance and benefit of hard work. She served the medical community for many years, ultimately retiring from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

Ernestine was fondly known to her family and friends as Granny. She loved her family immensely and always found an opportunity to bring family together. She enjoyed spending time with the Lady Cruisers, and the Fieldstone Community. Her hobbies were playing cards, bingo, pokeno, casino trips, and athletic events for her grandchildren.

Ernestine is survived by nine children: Tyrone Fraley, Charlene Fraley, Charles W. Fraley, Dianna L. Fraley, Jermone Fraley, Kimberly Fraley, and Karen (Keith) Kirtley of Columbus, Ohio, Wendy F. (George) Davis, of Toledo, Ohio, and Terry Fraley of Atlanta, Georgia; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three grand-dogs; and two great grand-dogs. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Ann (Fraley) Chavis; and her very best friend May Frances Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded by her sister, Imogene Fraley; brothers, Carlton Fraley, and Howard Lee Fraley; and daughter-in-law Rezella Fraley.

Ernestine was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. As her health declined, her only concern was about her family. Ernestine dedicated her life to Christ, and longed to be with the Lord. Upon her death, she shouted to the Heavens “What’s taking so long”, “Let me In”. The Angels looked down and the Lord placed the Jewels in her Crown. Well done thy good and faithful servant.

Visitation 11:00AM and Funeral Service 12:00PM Friday, January 10, 2020 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
