Dear Hazel, I pray the peace of knowing Jesus Christ surrounds you and gives you strength. Although Sonny is gone, God has not left you. He holds you in His bosom. I also pray that you will live life with vigor and purpose because God has more in store for you.

Once again my heart is deeply crushed, we have lost the last patriarch of our family, Erving “Sonny” Holiday. My grandmother, my mother, and her siblings have passed on, they are in the presence of the Lord. A generation has finished their life’s journey.

There’s not enough tears to fill the hole in my heart, not enough glue to put the broken pieces together again. But there is a Balm in Gilead and there is healing in His wings. (Mal. 4:2) I submit to His sovereign will. Be blessed.

Peace and Love,

Condolence from Chrystal Wheeler on April 21st, 2020 12:35 pm

To my Loving sister Hazel first of all my heart pours out nothing but love and very fond memories of Sonny sharing time together will never be forgotten Raymond Sr. and Sonny together was monumental their conversations were intellectual ,humerus and most of family oriented my most memorable time with Sonny was when he came over our house to talk with Raymond about retiring from his job you see the two of them worked in construction for more than thirty yes after their conversation Raymond felt comfortable about retirement and that’s the kind of man Sonny was . His conversations were to the point and most of honest even though he used a lot of cuss words- So my third sister you can lean on me now as I have leaned on you I’ll always be there .i love you with all of my heart.
Your Baby Sister Chrissy ( CW)
