Eugene Crafter Sr., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at his residence in Springfield, Ohio at the age of 80 years. He was born in Macon, Georgia on October 31, 1939 the son of James Crafter and Sallie Mae (Howell) Crafter.

Eugene was a member of Greater Grace Temple of Springfield, Ohio. He worked several years at Champion Company and Teledyne Cast Ohio in Springfield, Ohio and retired from Piqua Refinery of Piqua, OH. He loved hunting, bowling, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Eugene was preceded in death by his loving parents; two brothers, Willie James Crafter and Robert Lee Howell; one sister, Pearlie Mae Crafter; his wife, Cheryl Ann Crafter; two daughters, Allegra Crafter and Sharolyn Walker Short; one grandson, Cody John.

Eugene’s memory will be cherished by his loving son, Eugene Crafter Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; his loving daughters, Yowana Crafter (Robert) West and Yolanda Thompson, both of Springfield Ohio; twelve grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; one brother, L. T. Crafter of Atlanta, Georgia and a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation 4:00 PM and Funeral Service 5:00 PM Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Greater Grace Temple 380 W Leffel Ln.

Interment at 11:00am Monday at Ferncliff Cemetery.
