Eugene Flowers Sr. Aka “Eudle” was born January 29, 1954 to the late Willie and Viola (Murry) Flowers and was called to rest on Wednesday, June 6, 2018.
Eudle was a proud husband, father, and grandfather. He was an active member of Barnett Rd. Baptist Church (The Truth Church) where he was a member of the choir and served as church security/greeter.
In 1969 he met his wife of 49 years in Stuebenville, Ohio in which they relocated to Columbus, Ohio in 1973. They had 6 wonderful children, 19 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter Paije.
Eudle was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Viole (Murry) Flowers, brothers Joseph Lewis, Willie (Jack), Paul, John Edward, Michael, Dale, and Robert Flowers, sisters Willie Mae (Bee) and Mildred (Giddie).
he leaves to cherish his memories with his queen, devoted wife of 49 years Sandra (Palmer) Flowers, loving children Shabie, Gene (Melissa), Sheba, Eugene Jr., Michael (Autumn), Shi’Lah, and Teiashia Flowers, brother Lawrence Flowers, sisters Emma Gene Hairston, Elsie Woods, Patricia (Jacob) Stewart, Violet (Minerva) Flowers, special niece Trina Jones Lumas, and a host of nieces, nephews, and and abundance of friends, fans, and peeps.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm – 7:00 Friday June 15, 2018 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.
Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00 noon Saturday June 16, 2018 at The Barnett Road Baptist “Truth Church” 1500 Barnett Rd.
Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
Mr. Flowers was a special man that loved his family. I always admired the love that Eudle and Ms. Sandy had for one another, their children, family and friends. Although his time had passed here on Earth, his strength and legacy will never be forgotten.
To the family of Eugene, you have my condolences in your loss. Words can not express the pain we feel when a close family bond is broken by death! May your faith in God’s promises grow as his words at 1 Corinthians 15:25, 26 says, “For he (Jesus) must rule as king until God has put all enemies under his feet. And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.”
So sorry for your loss. Prayers for healing and peace. He was a wonderful man, our life was enriched having known him.

All I remember is that you and Eudles were one in every sense of the word and that the love you shared will live forever in your heart. My mom sends her love to you as well. First of all, we here family in Kentucky send our heartfelt condolences to family. Uncle Eudle was one of my favorite uncles. He was like our protector, that big brother you was glad you had, always loved us kids and always took the time play with us when he came around. Uncle Eudle we love you and will miss you here on Earth, but shall see one another again in Heaven. Rest In Peace In Heaven. Love your Nephew Juan and family.
