Evangelist Eugenia Harris Donaldson was born July 2, 1939 to the union of Hillard Harris and Elizabeth (Sawyer) Harris in Vaughn Mississippi. Eugenia accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at a very early age and became a member of Bell Chapel M.B. Church. Eugenia attended High School in Vaughn Mississippi.
Eugenia (Jean) was united in holy wedlock to Bishop Raoul Donaldson for 21 years who preceded her in death. He was the Pastor of Spiritual Harvest Church in Toledo, Ohio. For many years Eugenia “Jean” did what she loved to do: singing, ministering, worshipping, praying and evangelizing. She loved spending time with her family and her great grandchildren. Eugenia “Jean” had a smile that would light up the room.
Eugenia “Jean” was preceded in death by both parents; sisters, Birdie Willis, Beulah Owens, Valerie Jackson Gertrude Lake and brother, Homer Harris.
She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved daughter, Carolyn A. Harris; grandson, Pastor Lawrence S. (Barbara Lynn) Witherspoon his wife; stepson, Brent (Cynthia) Donaldson; stepdaughter, Sabrina (Aaron) Mitchell; great grandchildren, Xander, Peyton and Braylen Witherspoon; step grandchildren, Brandon Donaldson, Tameka Bridges (Javier) and Tiffany Kelso; beloved God-daughter, Kathy Tatum; God-Child, Katelyn Tatum; God-sons, Rodney Miller and David Mclean, special sister-in-law, Betty Ann Harper and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 at Christ Community (formerly Independent Missionary Church of God In Christ) 2249 E. 5th Avenue
Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017.

It is with great sadness that I am writing this message because my flesh will miss her. But my spirit will rejoice for her because I know that she is with our Father!!! To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord, praying for the family.

God grant you strength for this difficult time. Even through your tears remember her life of service to God and others and the legacy she has left.
May the Lord comfort and strengthen you during this time of sorrow. Praying especially for you and family in the days ahead.
I loved hearing Sis.Donaldson sing “Trouble in my way”, I loved her greens & potatoe salad, she will be greatly missed.
You have gone to a better place with a pair of the prettiest set of wings. You will be missed but I know you and your siblings are reunited and rejoicing altogether again in that heavenly choir. You will never be forgotten . Love you and miss you.
What an awesome gift you gave us over the years! Thank you for the smiles and the words of encouragements.

I know that’s she is alright now but it’s hard when u start seeing all the saints that had such a big part of your raising !! I’ve learned to cherish them a little more and be thankful that God put such God fearing people in my life. She was the only one that I know that had straight out church at her wedding!! and I loved every minute of it. Praying for comfort for the family!!
May God’s presence rest with you in this time of transition. I pray that you will know and experience Peace that passes understanding in the coming days. Know that you are loved dearly. And your loved one is greatly missed and Loved. I love you

I KNOW, I eXperienced her both when she assisted Elder General Richard and Mother Ermaree Richard at Hope… COGIC and when “Jean” +Co-Pastored with Elder Donaldson in the West End of Toledo OH.
I am reminded of the words of Apostle Paul, I write these things that you will not sorrow in the same manner as the world. Because if you believe that JESUS rose from the dead, He will bring those with HIM who die believing in HIM. There will be sorrow, but not the sorrow of this world… Love you much.
I will miss u much ms. Gene, I fell in love with you the first day I met you and yur husband bishop. I was honored to b the both of you Home aid. You will always have a place ny heart. You r a very special loving lady, n family was always important to you, I LOVE YOU. RIPy angel.
Kathy and Katelyn I am so sorry, I truly understand your hearts ache and I pray that the Lord will give you both His Peace during this time. Please know that I am here for each of you for whatever you may need going forward. This is what friends are for.
