Evonne M. Shahid, age 52. Sunrise August 8, 1963 and Sunset April 4, 2016. Evonne was a graduate of Brookhaven High School and earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Sociology at Ohio Wesleyan University. She was a Team Leader and Mental Health Specialist at Southeast Behavior Health. Evonne attended First Church of God. She was preceded in death by her grandfather George Gilchrest and great grandmother Flayvalla Watkins. Left to cherish her memory, daughter Fahren Evette Shahid, mother C. Najiyyah Shahid, grandmother Gustava Biggs, sisters, twin Evette Shahid, Sonnetta (Daniel) Sturkey, and Zarinah Shahid, brothers Abdur Shahid and Charles (Monica) Shahid, nieces Marli M. Shahid and Gianna Shahid, nephews George Naim Shahid Jones and Makai Shahid, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation 11:00am and Celebration of Life Service 12:00 noon Friday April 8, 2016 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE 2500 Cleveland Ave.
