Fannie B. King

KINGFANNIE

Fannie B. King, age 93.  Sunrise December 1, 1923 in Camden, AL and Sunset January 22, 2017 in Springfield, OH.

Fannie attended Alabama State Teachers College and was a retired Teachers Aide from Springfield City Schools.  Fannie was a member Greater First Baptist Church where she served with the Deaconess Ministry and Senior Choir  and was  Past President of  The Willing Workers Club for 45 years.

Fannie was preceded in death by her parents, Benny and Alberta Boykin; husband, Charles King and sister Daisy Milton.

Left to cherish her memory, daughter, Letitia Wilson; sisters, Rosie Hatcher and Martha Boykin; brother, David (Helen) Boykin; grandchildren, Carmen Wright, Bradley Wilson and Philip Wilson; great granddaughter, Sydney Williams  and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation 6-8pm Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Greater First Baptist Church 1175 Upper Valley Pike. and Funeral 10:30am Monday, January 30, 2017 at Greater First Baptist Church.  Interment at Ferncliff Cemetery.  Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave., Columbus, Ohio.

  2. I am sorry for the loss of Fannie B. King. I have remembered her with a vigil candle lit at my church this weekend. I send my thoughts, prayers, and sincere sympathy to her family, and I hope that many wonderful memories sustain you in the days and years to come.

    Letitia, My heart was truly saddened when I heard of the passing of your mom, a dear friend of my family!!!! I just found out today3/14/17!..Someone told mama at the beauty parlor in Springfield…Mom was shocked and heart broken!…No way would we have missed the funeral if we would have known!!!..We always loved your mom and considered her and you a part of our family history in Springfield on Iowa Ave…You all lived next to my grandmother…My mom has been in Columbus with me since Oct 2016..Here is my cell 6147016806…call any time…Love ..Marva Davis Boswell, Minnie Davis
