Felicia Diane Carey

In Memorial

Felicia (Lisa) Diane Carey was born February 21, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio at the Ohio State University Hospital to Eddie Fair and Glory Carey-Pratt. Felicia entered into complete communion with the Lord Jesus Christ on February 27, 2010.

Felicia accepted the Lordship of Jesus Christ as a child and was reared as a Christian at Cornerstone Pentecostal Church under the tutelage of Bishop Wilbert L. Butler. During her membership, she was an active member of the youth & adult choir, served on the usher-board, active in the teen ministry. It was there she learned to trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not into thy own understanding.

Felicia was a 1986 graduate of Linden-McKinley High School located in Columbus, Ohio. She was recognized and awarded her senior year for Student Council, Main Office Monitor, “Ms. Know It All,” and Biggest Pest. After high school, Felicia pursued her dreams in becoming a Licensed Hair Stylist by obtaining her diploma from the Nationwide Beauty Academy in Cosmetology in 1988. Felicia later went on to establish her own business by starting Bless the Children Childcare. Felicia was a dear friend to all those whom she came in contact with in spite of her thinking that she had all the answers to every problem; again “Ms. Know It All!”

The BEST THING that ever happened to her was on November 1, 1996! JORDAN Da’Vail Carey, her handsome, slim, good looking son was born into this world! Nothing else can compare point blank period!

Over the past 8 years Felicia rededicated her life back to the Lord and was a devoted Christian and member of Power & Glory Ministries under the tutelage of Pastor Sherry & Apostle Maurice Broomfield of Columbus, Ohio.

Felicia is preceded in death by her grandmother Viola Carey-Johnson, aunt Helen Nadine Carey, nephews Donald Isaiah Turns and Tajuan Darnell Stoumile, Jr. Felicia leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her home-going; son Jordan D. Carey, mother Glory Pratt, father Eddie Fair, sisters Cathey Fountain, Susie Carey, Karen Carey-Granger, brothers Alfonza Carey, Jr. & Brian Carey, special God-daughters Sharing & Caring, aunts, uncles, and a host of nephews & nieces.

I come home every year from Dallas and I have been trying to find her for the past couple of years. I just got to Columbus to bury my uncle and was trying to look her up. Sad sad day. Good woman and she will be missed….

  11. I am so, so sorry to learn of Felicia’s passing. I wrote her last year to give her the good news of my husband’s success and I just thought that she had moved. I hope she passed peacefully. She used to do my braids back in the late 90’s. I will miss her she was such a good person! She rest now in God’s embrace.
