Flora Ann Steptoe Leftwich was born on October 17, 1930, in Columbus, Ohio. She preceded in death by her parents Arnold “Bunch “and Gertrude Steptoe and son Carlo V. Leftwich. Flora leaves to cherish her memory her son, Bartone Corvair “Corleone” Leftwich, granddaughter, Carlesha Valentine, grandson, Antone D. Leftwich; and great grandchildren, Antone M. Leftwich, Miyah Dunlap, and M. Amir Dunlap.

Flora also known as Ms. Floogie, Flo, Goins, Leftwich, Jackson, Leftwich (again) was raised in Columbus, Ohio and she graduated from East High School. Flora was a cheerleader and excelled in academics. After high school she explored California where she worked as a waitress in a diner and this is how she met many celebrities like Nat King Cole, Royal Gordon “Rusty” Bryant, Chuck “Rifleman” Conners, and a host of other celebrities.

Flora had many occupations throughout her life but her most valued work was with CMHA Property Management for over 20 years, she was a highly valued employee and later retired from CMHA.

Flora loved her “therapy” which she called “Pittel’ling” (if you know you, you know). She collected items such as cats, monkeys, wish bones, feathers, and owls over the years.

Flora lived life her own way. If you knew Ms. Floogie you were sure to smile, and she always made you laugh. Flora loved her small family, her sons, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Flora will truly be missed.
