Frances Ann Carrington McDaniel, 80, born at home on May 25, 1939 in Keystone, WV, passed away unexpectedly from upper respiratory complications, April 20, 2020 at Ascension Providence Hospital, Southfield MI. Preceded in death by parents Jack S. Carrington Sr. and Louise Crockett Carrington; loving husband Jack J. McDaniel; brothers: Jack S. Carrington Jr., Solomon Carrington; sons George Q. Francisco Jr., Jack Jr, Andre McDaniel. She leaves to cherish her memory: sister Mary Manns; daughter Tonya Francisco; son Christopher McDaniel; grandchildren: George Q Francisco III, Anthony Barnes, James Barnes, Ti’Onna Barnes, Ta’Neika Francisco, Kara (Justin) Davis, Shanelle (Jonathan) Park; extended family: Kay, Taylor, Maurice, Benny, Mike, Susan, Julianne, Nathan, Lana, Orion and Maddison; 8 great grand-children, close nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, family and special residents of the Lahser Hills Care Center in Southfield, MI. Member of the The Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith, where she attended until she moved to Michigan for assisted living care. Frances worked in hospitals across 4 states: Hackensack, NJ; Bethlehem, PA; Detroit, MI; Columbus, OH. A graduate of Kimball High School in Kimball WV, Frances enjoyed reconnecting with friends at class reunions. She was a foster parent for many years and provided in-home child care for many children who became part of her extended family. She loved listening to gospel music and sharing stories about her life.

Visitation 9:00 AM and Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday, May 2, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
