    Isaiah 25:7-9 NIV

    On this mountain he will destroy
    the shroud that enfolds all peoples,
    the sheet that covers all nations;
    he will swallow up death forever.
    The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears
    from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace
    from all the earth.

    The LORD has spoken. In that day they will say,
    “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us.

    This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”

    Dear Montgomery Family,

    The Church Family of Christ Community Outreach Center in Newport News, Virginia, desires to extend our deepest sympathy to you in your loss. As brothers and sisters in Christ, we also mourn Frances Montgomery’s death and know she will be missed deeply.

    It is so difficult for us to lose someone we hold dear, and we know you will face challenges as you adjust to life without her. Nonetheless, we are thankful for the eternal hope we have through Christ’s resurrection. “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3

    Remembering Sister Montgomery’s faithful service to her Lord, we are confident that, like Paul, her testimony would be, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8

    As a church family, we will continue to pray for you and ask God to comfort you and give you His strength with peace that is beyond our understanding. We walk with you on this journey and want to provide loving support in any way we can.

    Please call us if we can assist you in any way or if you just need to talk to someone.

    Your in Christ,
    Rev. Anthony Proctor
    Executive Pastor
