Frances “Shave” Idella Logan was born on July 16, 1937 in Springfield, Kentucky to George Albert Sr. and Mary Ellen Clark Logan.

Frances retired on November 2002 from the State of Ohio as a Computer Programmer, and also had a career as a Keypunch Operator Supervisor, Nurses Assistant, and one of the first African American Beauticians in Springfield, Kentucky, and most of all a Phenomenal Mother and Grandmother. She was also proficient with woodworking and sign language.

Frances is preceded in death by son, Anthony J. Logan; daughter, Paula E. Logan; three sisters, Mary Katherine Hourigan, Ruby Agnes Furman, and Nannie Elizabeth Thompson; and three brothers, William “Dud” Logan, George Albert (June) Logan, Jr., and Charles Martin Logan.

Frances leaves to mourn her passing, daughter, Sheila R. Dawkins; son, Tracy L. Logan; granddaughter, Dayvette M. Dawkins; great granddaughter, Nobie M. Dawkins; sister friends, Sandra Kemper and Karen Allison; and numerous relatives and friends.

Frances will be missed by those who loved and knew her.

Visitation 1:00pm and Funeral 2:00pm Monday, November 15, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
