Frances M. Williams

Williams2 2

Frances M. Williams was born on December 24, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Albert Shouse, Sr., and Kathleen Wright. She passed away peacefully on May 29, 2020.

In the early part of her life she moved to Detroit. She was always a lady of Love, in everything she did; she loved it, especially her children. She taught us to say, Hello, Thank you, and Please.

She worked very hard throughout her life to take care of herself and family, cooking, cleaning, baking, and ironing. She had a passion for it. She was a true entrepreneur, as she would bake her wonderful cakes and sell them to residents in her apartment building. In addition to cooking, Frances was a great seamstress, and also created beautiful silk floral arrangements.

God has not taken you; he has welcomed you to eternity with open arms. May you rest in Peace, Happiness, and Joy. You are in no more pain.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Shouse, Sr., and Kathleen Wright; sisters, Charlotte Shouse and Lois Moorehead; daughter, Yvette Williams; and brothers, Albert Shouse, Jr., and Paul Waggoner.

Frances is survived by daughter, Wanda Williams; son, Waymond (Saglenda) Williams, Jr.; brother, Bishop Edward (Rose) Shouse; 4 grandkids, Monica Williams, Laverence Harden, Parrish Smith, Isaiah Williams; 13 great grandkids; and many special friends and family.

Frances will be truly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Condolence Messages

  1. Our hearts goes out to you as you prepare to say goodbye to your love one. May your good and happy memories and remembering the love that God has for you comfort you and bring you peace. Thinking of you all.

  2. Bishop Edward E. Shouse, Sr.

To my remaining family, especially my nephew Waymond, and my niece Wanda, and all the other relatives.

My heart aches today as I prepare to say “Goodbye” to my sister Francis.

I shall remember the good times, even in the last day’s of visitation at the nursing home. Oh how she would brighten up when I came in the room. She would always let everyone know that I was her brother and I was a Bishop. She always respected me.

I cannot express the love I have for her, we laughed, and at times we cried together because of issues in life. In all, I am grateful I have had the opportunity to share the time I did have with her.

I love her, and I miss her so badly, it is said, and I have said it to others, “…Earth has no sorrow that heaven can’t heal…” now I apply it to myself.

So long sis, I’ll see you later…

    Your baby brother, Edward…
