Franklin A. Stewart Sr. was born on March 19, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from South High School in June of 1971, and immediately joined the US Airforce.
In his youth he enjoyed martial arts, and playing bass guitar. However, fishing, playing chess, and bowling competitively were his passions.
Frank enjoyed gathering with family and friends for good times and laughter while outwitting his opponents during card games. Frank enjoyed volunteering his time to care for disabled and elderly, and assisting them with getting to appointments.
Frank is preceded in death by his loving parents, Mary Alice and Luther H. Stewart Jr.
He is survived by children, Dionne Palmer, Angela Stewart, Davida James, Marsha Mayle, Frank Stewart Jr., and Tana Williams; siblings, Steven Stewart Sr., Luther (Annie) Stewart III, Dennis (Francine) Stewart Sr., Sandra Stewart, Stanley Stewart Sr., Larry Stewart Sr., and Terri Stewart; grandchildren, David James, Brenton James, Deidra James, Dalaedria James, Daniel James, Scott Mayle Jr., Karen Mayle, Maria Stewart, Dante Williams, Heiress Williams, Bryant James, and Jasir Williams; great grandchildren, Serenity James and Kayvon Deloach; Loving partner of 9 years Vickie Black; aunts, Georgianna Jackson and Lula Mae Bowan; and uncle, Lawrence Prysock.
A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of bowlers, and friends. His ex-wife and mother of his children Sheila Williams.
Visitation 6:00pm and Memorial Service 7:00pm Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

We are sorry for your loss. Please except our sincere condolences something that we have personally found to be of great comfort is what God‘s Word says it John 5:28 and 29 in these verses we see the love that. God has for us , by the promises he has made to us through his son Christ Jesus. With caring thoughts.
Please except my condolences. May you find comfort in knowing that your dear one is safe in the memory of God, who will remember every detail about him and bring him back again. John 5:28, 29 gives this assurance.
Please know that we all loved Frank, but God loved him better. Take comfort in knowing that he is with our Father in Heaven.
To the Stewart family. My heart is with you and your family at this time of your loss. There is reliable comfort in knowing God’s promises about the resurrection hope. Read Acts 24:15 and Revelation 21:4. In the past God has resurrected humans and He is eager to do it again because He hates death. I would like to discuss more with you about God’s promises. To the Stewart Family: We are sorry that prior commitments prevent us from attending the service this evening. Frank was a very special person and uplifted the spirits of everyone around him at Holiday Lanes. He was always positive and greeted everyone with his infectious smile. We feel privileged to have known him. May the Lord bless his family with peace in this most difficult time.
RIP my good friend. We’ll keep your family in our prayers. May God bless you on your final journey.
Great friend will be sadly missed.

To Franklin’s family: Please accept my heartfelt condolences in the loss of your loved one. May the loving memories that you have of him help comfort you during this difficult time.
You were a good friend to the end my brother. We went to and graduated from South high school and went into the military together.
Along with his cousin Kenny/aka: Dead Man, and Gerald Broady.
You kept life 100 and u are truly missed. I’ll see u on the other side bro. RIP Frank
