Franklin A. Stewart Sr. was born on March 19, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from South High School in June of 1971, and immediately joined the US Airforce.

In his youth he enjoyed martial arts, and playing bass guitar. However, fishing, playing chess, and bowling competitively were his passions.

Frank enjoyed gathering with family and friends for good times and laughter while outwitting his opponents during card games.  Frank enjoyed volunteering his time to care for disabled and elderly, and assisting them with getting to appointments.

Frank is preceded in death by his loving parents, Mary Alice and Luther H. Stewart Jr.

He is survived by children, Dionne Palmer, Angela Stewart, Davida James, Marsha Mayle, Frank Stewart Jr., and Tana Williams; siblings, Steven Stewart Sr., Luther (Annie) Stewart III, Dennis (Francine) Stewart Sr., Sandra Stewart, Stanley Stewart Sr., Larry Stewart Sr., and Terri Stewart; grandchildren, David James, Brenton James, Deidra James, Dalaedria James, Daniel James, Scott Mayle Jr., Karen Mayle, Maria Stewart, Dante Williams, Heiress Williams, Bryant James, and Jasir Williams; great grandchildren, Serenity James and Kayvon Deloach; Loving partner of 9 years Vickie Black; aunts, Georgianna Jackson and Lula Mae Bowan; and uncle, Lawrence Prysock.

A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of bowlers, and friends. His ex-wife and mother of his children Sheila Williams.

Visitation 6:00pm and Memorial Service 7:00pm Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

Frank was a very special person and uplifted the spirits of everyone around him at Holiday Lanes. He was always positive and greeted everyone with his infectious smile.
