Freddie L Seaverson Jr, affectionately known as “Fred” age 59. Fred was born to Elder Fred and Dorothy Seaverson on October 27, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio. Fred was called home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2020, after a brief Flu illness and short stay at St Ann’s Hospital ICU. He attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated from Linden McKinley High School where he was on the football and track teams.

Fred’s first job was at age 18 with State of Ohio where he worked 30 years until his retirement. Retirement did not last long, he began his own small family business as a City Contractor which kept him busy outdoors with a focus on property preservation.

Fred loved the outdoors and cooking out especially the “Pig Roast” and beer with his brother Carl and family. Fred enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and gardening. Fred also had a passion for historic cars, as he restored his ’69 Camero that he had since high school. He was a dog lover and had a dog named Petie and now Miles.

Fred’s most precious joy was spending time with all of his grandchildren, teaching Tirrell and Ryan his passion and love for football and basketball especially the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bulls.

He is preceded in death by his parents Elder Fred and Dorothy Seaverson, brother Floyd Allen, grandparents Floyd and Lula B Seaverson, Geology and Mamie-Malone Johnson, numerous Aunts and Uncles in the Seaverson, Johnson, Malone and Ridley Families and cousin Ronnie Fitzpatrick.

Fred leaves to cherish his memory, loving daughter Tasja and her children that he adored Tirrell, Ryan and oldest grandchildren, his younger brother Carl (Cheryl) Seaverson, sister Jacqueline Spann, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who he loved dearly. Special cousin Elder Edward Lamar Dixon, Junior and Eddie Seaverson, Poncho and Tony Malone, long-time special friends Keith Freeman, Phil Knowlin, Brent Ward, Extended family, Tirrell Hightower, Toinette Brock, Mary Snipes, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
