Freddy was born the oldest son to Lovie Warren Gilbert and Napolean Gilbert Freddy was a graduate of Webster High School, class of 1963.

Freddy met the love of his life, Dorothy Lewis and was married and born two sons, Fredrick and Sherman. Freddy was employed with Buckeye Steel where he retired after 39 years as a foreman. Freddy had a special Bar-B-Q sauce that he said “he could put it on a bark of a tree and you would eat.

Freddy had a singing voice and would often serenade his wife. He enjoyed sports, but mostly, Mr. Freddy Gilbert worked tirelessly to provide for his wife and kids. Freddy Gilbert was a good man.

He was preceded in death by both parents, a brother and sister, grandchild Kawme Patrick.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife Dorothy Gilbert, Billy Gilbert, Paul (Barbara) Warren, James (Sue) Warren, Conrhone Wallace, Conrad Wallace and Charles Pete Harper, one sister Bonnie (Fred) Cooley. Sons, Fredrick (Kim) Gilbert and Sherman (Stacey) Gilbert. Grand Children:, Alisha Reed, Victoria Gilbert, Robby Buck, Tashawnda (Jonathon) Patrick-Allen, Ashanti Gaffney, Angela Gaffney, Zachery Parks. Also, a host of other great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

 

9:00am Visitation and 10:00 noon Saturday August 6, 2016 at Bethel Temple Apostolic, 2840 Lockbourne Rd.  Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
