Gail Ruth Malbon age 62 born and raised in Columbus, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2021, at Grant Hospital where she fought the battle with cancer.

Gail was born on December 26, 1959, to the late Dorothy Vaulx and Willard Vaulx. She attended East High School and graduated in 1977. She then went on to attend Devry University, where she studied nursing.  She later became a nursing assistant and had a career at Traditions Nursing Home.

Gail retired in 2004 and then decided to devote her time with family. She was a very loving and caring mother, wife, and grandmother. She and her husband Charles were best friends and Charles loved Gail very much.

Gail was the glue that kept the family together and to her family she is our rock. She loved to tell jokes to keep us laughing and. She loved her family very much and all Gail ever wanted for her family is to be at peace and as one she was everything to family while here on earth.

Gail loved to cook and go to the Scioto Downs where she and Charles would spend hours. She also loved to spend time in Walmart. She was loved all around from family and friends. Her presence just lit up the room. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to put a smile on their faces. She had a personal connection with each one of them.[1] She also loved to be on her tablet painting pictures.

Gail was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Vaulx and father, Willard Vaulx; mother-in-law, Helen Malbon; father-in-law, Charles Malbon Sr.; sister, Gena Weatherspoon; brothers, Charles Weatherspoon, and Jimmy Weatherspoon.

Gail leaves to cherish in her memory her loving and devoted husband, Charles Malbon Jr., of 38 years, married for 28 years; daughters, Christine (Dwight) Mitchell, Candace Vaulx, Charlene Vaulx, and Stephanie Vaulx; grandchildren, Breanna Vaulx Shampale Vaulx, Stephen Mitchell, Stephfone Mitchell, Chanler Vaulx, Shakur Mitchell, Antonio Criswell Jr., Zharyia Vaulx, Tyreece Criswell, Vonni Brown; great grandchildren, Dior Robinson (AKA) Pretty Pretty, Briah Peters (AKA) Boo, Eryss Vaulx (AKA) Baby,  Zion West-Skelton (AKA) The Man, Kaiden Mitchell, Jermiah Mitchell, Olivia Mitchell, Skylar Mitchell; sisters, Rheda Boyd, Mary (Floyd) Jones, Lois Vaulx, Michele Vaulx ( Bill Bush); brother, Ronnie (Dana) Weatherspoon; brother in law, Libby (Robin) Malbon; sisters-in-law, Rose Malbon, Delores Malbon and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gail was everything to her family and there will not be a day that goes by where she will not be missed by her family. Her name and her spirit will forever live on.

Visitation 9:00 AM and Private Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday, January 22, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.).

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
