Gastawn Alexander Hayes was born August 8, 1980 in Columbus, OH to Brenda Hayes and Gaston Payton. He entered heaven’s gates to be with our Lord and Savior on July 7, 2020.

Gastawn entered the military in 2020. He had worked at Harrop Industries until COVID-19 caused him to be laid off. He continued working doing home remodeling with his good friend, Ant.

Gastawn was a family man and loved being with his kids, Brielle, Cincere, Jalae, Braylyn, and Mylia. He loved the outdoors, swimming, going to the park, cooking out, really anything outdoors he liked doing.

Gastawn is preceded in death by his father, Gaston Payton; grandmothers, Gladys Hayes and Audrey Payton; and several cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Gastawn leaves to cherish his memory, mother, Brenda Hayes; children, Brielle, Cincere, Jalae, Braylyn, and Mylia; close friends, Ant, TB, and Brian; and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
