Genola Silver Eiland born to Horace and Nancy Richardson Silver on August 10, 1937 in Warrenton, NC. She departed this life peacefully in home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

Genola was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend. She never met a stranger. She was an adoptive mother to many and a friend to all. She loved to play Bingo and cards.

Genola was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Nancy Silver; youngest son, Jeryll Eiland; grandson, Chavez Evans; and all eight of her siblings.

Genola leaves to cherish her memory are, children, Johnny Ray (Cheryl), Bernandine (Jeff), Cheryl (Will), Rydelle (Melissa), Norma (Glenn), Christopher, Don, Matilda (Malcolm), and Monica (Antonio); 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Genola will be truly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Visitation 1:00pm and Funeral 2:00pm Friday, March 18, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

My saddened heartfelt condolences to my Eiland family. I love Mrs. Eiland she became my mother. I have known her for many years. Mrs. Eiland (mommy) will be missed by so many people. God knows when He calls us we go on to Paradise. Mommy loved the Lord. I love you. I’m going to miss you so so much.
