George Edward Claytor was born August 22, 1949 in Beckley, West Virginia to Gentle Lee Claytor and RosaBelle Cousins. He was called home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2019.

When he was a child he use to love to play baseball and also helped his parents inside and outside of the house. He graduated from Stratton High School, and then moved to New York with his sister Gwen and got a job. He was then drafted into the Vietnam war. He excelled in the Army and was promoted often. After the war he settled in Columbus, Ohio. He worked and retired from Buckeye Steel Castings. George was a family man and loved to make people laugh, He loved football and was a big Bengals fan. He loved to give advice and spending time with his grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his wonderful memory; children Turham E. Claytor, Tanika A. Claytor, and Tracy D. Claytor, children in law Howell A. Broady, and Tomekia L. Claytor, grandchildren Lacorrea Ahmed, Turham S. Claytor, Precious Claytor, Luther T. Claytor, Isyss Broady, and David Claytor, also a host of siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation 2:00 PM and Funeral Service 3:00 PM Monday, October 21, 2019 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.
