George Heard

George Heard was born on May 18, 1935 in Marlow, Ala to the late Albert E. Heard and Ameila Wilson. He went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2018 at the blessed age of 83.
George was raised in Fairhope Ala. George was a chef at the Grand Hotel in Pointe Claire Ala. At a young age, he then went on to work at Sea Ranch Restaurant in Mobile Ala. In the late 1950’s he moved to Chicago where he work for Don Ratcliff repairing radiators and later took a job at Harold’s Radiator where he later retired.
On December 15, 1979 he married Bettie Jean Bogan. George was a great husband, father, true man of God that worked hard to be a great provider for his family. He later moved to Columbus Ohio where he resided until the time of passing. He became a member of Living Waters Faith Assembly.
George is preceded in death by his parents Ameila and Albert E. Heard, brothers Johnny Heard, Ernest Heard, Clarence Heard, sister Juanita Reed, son Gregory Hunt, and his loving wife Bettie Jean Heard.
He leaves to cherish his memory; brothers Albert Heard, Charles C. Heard, sister Mary Ann Holloway, children Natasha Watkins, Selena Watkins-wood, General Watkins, Darnell Watkins, Bettina Watkins-Appleberry, grandchildren Victoria, Jaydon, Madison, Danielle, Larry, Xavier, General Jr., Ashley, Shannel, Gregory, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation 2:00pm and Funeral 3:00pm Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Living Waters Faith Assembly, 2596 Cleveland Ave.
