Gerald Tutstone Sr. was born on May 24, 1951, in Cleveland Ohio to the late Velma and Rachel Tutstone. He was born the seventh of eight children, one preceded him in death.He professed his faith in Christ at an early age at Saint-Paul A.M.E. Zion Baptist Church located in Cleveland, Ohio where he was baptized. He attended several churches throughout his life. He joined New Salem Baptist Church where he served as faithful member up until he became ill.Gerald attended John Hay High School in Cleveland, Ohio where he ran track. He was also a member of the Ravens a neighborhood club. After leaving high school he joined the Armed Forces and served his country honorably in Vietnam and Germany.On September 18 2007 Gerald was united in holy matrimony to Karen Gene Aaron. This union was a special bound that endured the test of time and was proven to be a truly unconditionally love.Gerald was a loving father, grandfather, and devoted Christian. He had a keen sense of humor, he loved to joke and laugh with his family and friends. Many shared his infectious laugh and smile.Gerald was blessed with an entrepreneur spirit, which led him to create several businesses. Before retiring in 2010, he held multiple administrative positions for a variety of cleaning companies and restaurants. He had a long-life passion for sports, participating in football and track as a youth in Cleveland. He was an avid sports fan of college and professional sports of all kinds; the Cleveland Browns was one of his favorite NFL teams. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing with his wife, Karen, exercising, eating & cooking great cuisine, spending time with his family and worshipping the Lord.Gerald crossed over to be with the Lord on December 13, 2018. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and those who knew him well.He was preceded in death by his son, Gerald C. Tutstone Jr. (from union with JoAnn), stepdaughter, Cynthia Howard, sister Connie Blair, sister Loretta Johnson He leaves to continue his life’s legacy, his wife, Karen; his children; Gina Law (Sean) (from union with JoAnn), Kianna Tutstone, Sasha Tutstone, Jamekca McDaniel’s, Jason Tutstone, Rachael Foradis, Sophia Orlandi and Isabella Orlandi; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; his brothers, Rev. Ronald E. Tutstone (Marion), Kenneth Tutstone (Maxine); his sisters,Janice Smith, Velma Proctor (Bobby), Jacqueline “Jakki” Reid and Barbara Tutstone; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Friday, December 21, 2018 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
