Getar Anne Cook, affectionately known as Anne, was born on November 8, 1951 to the late Sarah Rose Lee Davis in Buffalo, New York.

A 1969 graduate of Bennett High School, Anne was employed by Interim Healthcare as a Home Health Aide for many years. She retired from the American Red Cross in 2011 and shortly after relocated to Columbus, Ohio.

Anne was an avid bingo player. Reader of books and in her downtime loved to complete puzzles. She was always willing to help anyone in need and share her wisdom. The best word to describe how she was as a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend would just be AWESOME.

Anne leaves to cherish her memory husband, Michael C. Cook; loving and devoted daughters, Christine (Ammanuel) Gomez and Melissa Ray Patterson; son, Maurice C. Jackson; siblings, Clifton Jackson, Charlotte Jackson, William Jackson, the Late James Terrell Jackson, Genovieaur Smith, and Cynthia Zeigler; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.

Visitation 1-3:00pm Friday, January 28, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Dear Heavenly Father I am praying for strength, peace, and comfort for this family and friend of mines (Chris). May the soul of Anne rest in peace as she is now in the presence of the savior as heaven has received a new member. Anne you have done a beautiful job here on earth your children are an example of Gods work. In heaven your new assignment is to watch over your love ones and be at peace. Openly accept your wings as there is no more sickness and pain and to just fly high you are truly an angel.

Mom2 you are greatly missed. The holidays especially will never be the same without you. Us trying to get you to have more than one drink. You politely telling us no. Even though we tried so hard to get you to have just one more drink. You reminded me so much of my mom I called you Mom2 and the bond that you created will never be replaced. Y’all were always doing things hanging out and just living your best life. We will all miss your spirit, laugh, jokes and everything in between. Love you so much!!
