Gwendolyn B. Raymore, age 60. Sunrise June 19, 1960 and Sunset March 18, 2021. Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Gwen attended East High School, graduating class of 1978.
She worked for the State of Ohio, Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission, where she retired after 30 years of service. As a hardworking woman of God, she gave her life to Christ as a young adult. Gwen was a long-time member of Mount Hermon Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir.
Gwen gave much of her love and devotion nurturing her daughter. She loved shopping, many knew her to be “stylish” and ready to shop for any occasion. She did everything in her will to make sure she took care of family and friends.
Her battle with memory loss began in 2009. Gwen continued to fight until the Lord called her home and she now lay at rest peacefully under his guidance.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kelly (Susie) Littlejohn Jr.; Richard L. Crosby
Left to cherish her memory; daughter Dominique (Kyle) Beck; brother, Richard L. (Carolyn) Crosby; sisters, Carla J. (Tommy) Crosby-Tucker, Debra K. Dansby; grandson, Keegan A. Raymore; Sylvester Raymore Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Private Visitation 1:00 PM and Private Funeral Service 2:00 PM Friday, March 26, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd). Ticket is required. Mask and Social Distancing are required.

Prayers and love to Gwen Raymore’s family. Gwen was a beautiful person inside and out. Gwen always greeted me a smile on her face, you was kind, classy and a lot of fun. GOD has her now she will be missed but the memories will be with me.

My deepest condolences to the family. I grew up with the Crosby family. Gwen was the sweetest person. I remember when her daughter Dominique and grandson was born. Praying for healing,
comfort, peace, love and strength during this difficult time. May the memory of Gwen be for a blessing.

My wife and I were sadden to hear of the passing of Gwen. She was one of the sweetest person on this earth who was noted for her beautiful smile that would light up a room. The Mount Hermonites will truly miss her quite spirit and bright eyes of love. It goes without saying, “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”
To the Family of Sis Gwen Raymore, I was sadden to hear about the passing of Gwen from her sister Carla. She was such a fun, loving person when you were in her presence. I will miss her at the family gatherings and most of all singing with the choir and sitting at the back of the Church with my sister Sandra when I ushered. You have my deepest sympathy. May the Lord comfort you all during this time of sorrow. God Bless!!

My condolences to the family i was one of the caregiver that took care of Gwen @ the grove it was a pleasure she would want to help clean the kitchen sweep the floor she was very helpful I met Gwen daughter Dominiqua and her sister Carla very nice family she will Truly be missed at the grove

With tearful eyes you watched her and saw her pass away; although you loved her dearly, you could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. GOD broke your heart to prove to you, HE only takes the best.”
GOD is your Comforter and HE will not leave you comfortless. “Gwen Still Lives!” Stay Blessed and Remain Encouraged!

Gwen was a dear friend of my sister Lynette and was by her side during her battled with cancer from 2018-2020. I first meet Gwen through her sister Debbie, who was and still is my friend. My prayers and condolences to the entire family. God had his arms wrapped around you.

Visiting Columbus will never be the same because Gwen no longer resides there in body, but her spirit remains a Bright Beacon for all that knew her. Memories of meeting at Franklin Jr. High, on to East High School and into adult life will allow me to smile knowing you are at peace and well beyond your journey. Gwen was so sweet and kind. I’m absolutely sure she is already missed by many. Gwen thanks for helping me learn how to be a East High Tigerette and as the years marched on, thanks for greeting me with a genuine smile when our paths crossed. Rest on in the Savior’s arms.
Jus now seeing this. It really bothered me. Gwen was a careing person. She was an inspiration to me since I was 16 years old. Although she went through a lot she did her vest everyday to help her mother Susie B Witt Littlejohn. May she also Rest in Peace with the Lord. Gwen is my blood cousin and I love her even now. Thanks everyone for your kind condolences and comments Love You all. Rest in Peace Gwen. We will see you again.
