My sweet cousin, Sonny!! I so much love his presence every chance I got, and usually that was at our family reunion time or if we were in Columbus!! His laugh was so full of love and fun, and you just knew he loved his family. I truly enjoyed playing Bid Whist with him, for some reason he would always address me as the cheater, which tickle me from inside/out, (only because being from Peoria, Illinois we varied in the rules how we played.) Sonny, had a heart of gold, you just say I want this or I like to have this to eat, he wouldn’t be satisfied until your request was met. I know the family reunions will never be the same. He will forever live in our hearts, we will meet again cousin on the other side. Love You Forever!!

I just loved our Little/ Hawkins family reunion time every year. Knowing that I would get to mingle with the Hawkins Family. When we’re in Columbus we always go by Harry’s and he tried to feed us like we weren’t going to eat ever in our lives again. we dare not to tell him we wanted anything he would do all he could to oblige our needs if he could. But my cousin Harry, AKA “Sonny” was always my treat every year or whenever I seen him, his laugh had so much love in it you knew he was happy to see you. For some reason he always addressed me as the “Cheater” that would make my day, had me chuckling. We loved to play the card game Bid Whist and he thought he wrote the rules. So me living in Peoria, Illinois our game rules differed slightly, I played and did a few things differently and that’s how I got that name that he gave me. OMG, I’m in tears my sweet cousin I’m surely going to miss you!! Their is no one who can take your place . I’ll see on the other side. Rest Easy. Love you Infinity!!

Harry was one of the first people I met when I started at Timken. I was on a project in heat treat and Harry was helping me out. I got the chance to play bid whist with him after we were talking one day and he discovered I knew how to play. You’ve lost a great guy.

Condolence from Phil Harris on November 10th, 2022 9:58 pm

I worked with Harry at Timken and I can say one of the best. He helped make several changes that benefited him and his fellow workers. I never saw him without a smile on his face and a kind word. You’ve lost a gem. My condolences and prayers to the family.
