Horace_Shephard_Program_corrected_approved_and_ready_for_printHorace Shephard age 85, Sunrise January 21, 1937, and Sunset December 21, 2022. Horace was born to Charlie and Laura Shephard in West Point Georgia. He later moved to Columbus, Ohio.

Horace served in the military November 24, 1956; he was a Private in the Army. Horace received an honorable discharge July 23, 1962, called from the reserved state. Horace worked at Ohio State University doing security and worked at Lenox Industries as a welder.

Horace was preceded in death by his Father, Charlie Frank and Mother, Laura Ann Shephard; Daughter, Carol Lynn Blackwell; Sisters, Sallie Lou Porter and Charlie Mae; Brothers, Jimmy, John, Jewell and Emory.

Horace leaves to cherish his Children, Antoinette (Dennis) Harkness, Sharon (Terry) Lanier, Jerome (Tasha) Shephard, Horace Shephard as well as a host of Grandchildren, Great grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews many family members whom he loved greatly. Horace Shephard will be truly missed by all those who had the privilege of loving him.

Visitation 11:00 AM and Funeral Service 12:00 PM Monday, January 9, 2023 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.
