Ida Katherine Alexander, age 85 went home to be with the Lord March 2, 2021 with her daughter by her side, following her long illness. After battling her courageous bout with cancer, the Lord said she had done enough and called her home to rest. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ida was born to the union of her late parents, Hosea Miller and Irene Miller (O’Neal) on January 2, 1936.

Ida was a fun-loving, high-spirited individual who came to know the lord as she matured in age. She was a faithful member of New Haven Church under the leadership of Bishop Griffea, she was actively involved in the Homeless Projects, the Women’s Group and the Sensational Senior Citizens.

Ida worked for Swans Cleaners for several years and finished her career with the State of Ohio and retired working with Parks and Recreation Centers. Ida fostered Franklin County children and donated funds to support children’s projects.

Ida is preceded in death by parents, Hosea Miller and Irene Miller and brother, Hosea Miller, Jr.

Ida is survived by her loving children, sons, Michael A. Brown and Rondy V. Harris; daughter, Arinda S. Lee; grandchildren, Rondy Harris, Jr., Jeremy Harris, Jara Harris, Ashley (Louie) Davila, and William Lee; great grandchild, Amare Lee; half-sisters, Thelma (Louis) Clark and Alice Kirk; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; including, special cousin, William “Willie” Richardson; special niece, Robin Davis; special friend of the family Brian Davis, and many wonderful friends that have blessed her life. Now she is at peace with her heavenly father.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Friday, March 12, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.
