Irene Zenolia Paramore was born January 21, 1941, in Marianna, Arkansas.  In 1943, her family relocated to Columbus, Ohio, where she resided until the time of her death. Irene accepted Christ at the age of 5 and became a member of Gay Street Baptist Church (now known as Tabernacle Baptist Church), where she served as a youth leader, Young Persons Choir member, adult leader of the Red Circle Missionary Society for Young Girls, dedicated member of the JKB Chorus, Inspirational Choir, Sunday School, Missionary Ministry, Visitation & Outreach Ministry, and Girl Scout Leader of Troop #261.

Irene attended Garfield Elementary School, Franklin Junior High School, and was a 1956 graduate of East High School.  Irene later earned two bachelor’s degrees, Business Management and Communications, from Franklin University. Irene’s love of learning and the Lord called her to study Divinity at Lutheran Methodist Seminary. In 1997, she received her ministerial license and ordainment from the late Celina Woods of the Shining Light Baptist Church, Columbus, Ohio.

Irene was united in marriage to Otto Tommy Lee Paramore of Tallahassee, Florida in 1966, and their union produced two beautiful daughters, Jessica Lynne and Carlita Renee.  Irene was active and independent. She loved taking road trips, attending live concerts, painting, and most of all spending time with her family. Irene was an author, poet, and playwright whose works were reproduced throughout the Columbus community.

Irene was preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Ruth Payne.

Irene’s precious memories will be forever cherished by her daughters, Jessica Paramore and Carlita Paramore; grandsons, Jamari Paramore Morgan and Jalen Jackson; sisters, Jewell McDonald, Blonzetta Morman, and Evelyn (John) Williams; brothers, Milton Payne and LaMorris (Sharon) Payne; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and friends.
