Isaac Harper Jr (Ike Jr), was born November 24, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio to Isaac Harper Sr and E. Anna (Fuller) Harper. He departed this earthly life on Christmas Day, December 25, 2021.
Ike Jr, confessed the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior at a young age, joined and was baptized at Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio. His favorite scripture was, Jesus Wept, John 11:35.
Ike Jr, completed his formal education at Columbus City Schools and was a 1983 graduate of Linden McKinley High School. He later went on to Columbus State Community College.
In 1984 Ike Jr, became employed with The State of Ohio, Department of Public Safety where he remained until his retirement after 30 ½ years of service.
Ike Jr was loved by his family and you can best believe he LOVED his family right back. He was an all-around fun, loving, sometimes loud, but gentle guy. His favorite past times were Fishing, playing Bid Whist, Dominoes, watching Sanford and Son, Joyce Meyer Ministries, and cherished Dallas Cowboys.
On February 6, 1991 Ike Jr, became the proud Father of his Beloved Son and Best friend, Damon Michael Harper. He and Damon had a great father son relationship from the beginning and Ike Jr, became a fulltime single father in 2005. These two really became two peas in a pod and were often lovingly referred to by family as Fred and Lamont.
Ike is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, John W. Harper and Lula (Ezekiel) Bledsoe. Maternal grandparents John and Lora Fuller, and D Michelle Pack (Mother of Damon).
Ike Jr will be loved and sorely missed by his only son, Damon Michael Harper. Parents; Isaac and Anna Harper Sr. Sisters; Debbie (Andre) Hughley & Charese L. Harper. Favorite niece; Kaylah I. Price. Nephew; Marcus Hughley and Family, Nieces; Chonnette Hughley and Family and Jackie Wright and Family. Uncle; Louis Harper. Aunts, Dorothy Tucker, E. Jean (Preston Mack) Harper & Elizabeth Sheppheard. Great Aunts; Luvolia Cook and Hester Harper and his Dear; Fuller, Brown, Harper’s and Hughley family. A host of Cousins and friends.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Friday, December 31, 2021 at Triedstone Baptist Church 858 E 3rd Ave. Mask and Social Distancing are required. Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
