Ja’Bez Giovanni “Luciano” Battle, Grand rising January 25, 2003 born to John and Lakeya Battle at Thee Ohio State University Hospital.

Ja’Bez attended Groveport and Canal Winchester School District. Ja’Bez excelled in education with the help of a few exceptional teachers to guide Ja’Bez and give Ja’Bez a thrive to drive to no limitations in school. Ja’Bez continued his education with high hopes and dedication and desire to complete his diploma this year.

Ja’Bez overcame many obstacles he was challenged with throughout his childhood from epilepsy seizures to getting around with the assistant of a walker but that did not stop him. Ja’Bez pursued his passion and followed his own ambitions, with Ja’Bez charismatic determination Ja’Bez played little league football from the age of 8 to 14 for the Columbus Ram Squad who were formally the Cougars, which Ja’Bez loved playing football and rolling around in the mud was his highlight of it all. Ja’Bez has a special bond with each one of his siblings which Ja’Bez considered himself as His Brother’s Keeper and His Sister’s Protector. Now our Angel as of December 31, 2022. When Ja’Bez gained his wings.

Ja’Bez is proceeded in death by Edward Battle Jr, Edward Battle Sr, Beatrice Winters, Carmen Reid, Josephine Dorr, Yero, Guidance, Yon Yon, and Sheiba Dior.

Ja’Bez leaves to cherish his presence, his parents, John Battle and Lakeya Battle; brothers, John Battle Jr and Deonta Robinson; sisters, Jameesha and Jy’Ionna Battle, Sharmel Taylor and Deonia Robinson; nieces, Ivi’Yani, Zy’Ionna, Harmony, Nevaeh, and Za-Yonna; grandparents, Leatrice Battle and Valerie Love; great grandparents, John Winters and Eloise Battle; close friends Ja’Bez looked at as brothers, Julian, Von, and Khy; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and family.

Visitation 1:00pm and Funeral 2:00pm Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave
