Jack Wilbur Alexander was born May 30, 1947 in Jenkins, Kentucky to John and Stella Alexander. He was the youngest of eight children and goes on to meet his 2 brothers, Carl and Charles, and 3 sisters, Mary, Pearl and Della in heaven.

In 1955, at the age of 18, he joined the military to make a difference for his country and his family. Shortly after joining, he was honorably discharged and decided to head to Ohio to start a family of his own.

In 1972, at the age of 25, he married Delbera and together they gave life to 3 beautiful daughters.
Latina Brown (Tin Tin) is the oldest daughter who is married to Evontae and she has 4 children; Tiana, Harold, Iyanna, and Devaughn. Paulette Tate (Polly) who is the middle daughter is married to Lorenzo with their 3 children; Danaisha, Danasha, and Jayvon. The youngest of the three, Trinita Alexander (Tri Tri), has 1 son, Derion. Knowing that blood doesn’t make you family, he also leaves behind his inherited son, Kenneth.

Jack, or G.D as his grandchildren called him, has had the opportunity to travel, living in Cleveland (Ohio), Dayton (Ohio), Warrensburg (Missouri), and then Columbus (Ohio). While in Warrensburg, Missouri, he made the single best decision that any one person could make and that was to give his life to Jesus Christ. In the year of 2010, He joined Jesus Saves Pentecostal church and was baptized as a new believer. He knew that life without Jesus was no life at all.

Jack spent his spare time listening to music, dancing, completing crossword puzzles, and eating sugar daddies and spice drops. His smile could brighten a room and the love for his family was overwhelming.

On May 4, 2020, Jack decided that he was ready to begin eternity with the Savior and completed his transition to heaven. Jack leaves to mourn him his brother Danny, his children, grandchildren, great-grands, nieces and nephews, and many friends that will miss him dearly.

Rest in Peace, Daddy. We love you.

Please revisit this page and pray for the family as they are working on the complete obituary, telling the life story of Mr. Jack Alexander.
