James E. Qualls Jr., age 77. Sunrise January 23, 1941 and Sunset October 9, 2018.
James was a 1958 graduate of Central High School, retired from Ohio Expo Center and was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Qualls Sr.
Left to cherish his memory, wife of 60 years, Judith A. Qualls; mother, Ruth Qualls; sons James E. (LaDawnya) Qualls III, Bradley (Dawn) Qualls, Christopher (Sabra) Qualls, David Qualls, Jonathan (Amanda) Qualls and Jeremiah Qualls; daughters, Pamela (Julian) O’Loughlin and Kathryn Qualls; brothers, Daniel (Carolyn) Qualls and Steven Qualls; sisters, Delores Holland, Charlotte Qualls and Sharon Qualls, 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mr. Qualls will lie in state starting at 9:00am, family will receive friends at 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am Monday October 15, 2018 at Gospel Lighthouse Church 600 Frebis Ave.
Entombment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of working with him at the state fairgrounds. Jim was a great man, very intelligent, and had a big heart. I always loved seeing him smile and saying, The Ohio State Fair is the greatest state fair in Ohio!”.
We are very sorry for your loss. Jim was always a fun addition to our foster/adoption training classes a few years back and we remember him fondly. Our hearts are with Judith and Jim’s family.
Mrs. Judy I am so sorry for your loss. Your husband was so kind and you both offered a loving home to many children. He left behind a legacy of kindness. He will be missed dearly.

I am so sorry to hear the loss of your beloved patriarch! I have many fond memories as a young person hanging out at the Qualls home. God surely loved this man!!
I met Mr.Jim long ago in foster care. He and his wife took me in as one of their own. Offered me a chance to enjoy my childhood and educated me about the love of God/Christ. I’m truly grateful for the memories/impression he left in my life. Plain City, Ohio… I talk about that place alot. That’s where we lived at the time. I send the family my deepest condolences and prayers. God bless.

I am so very sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. I pray that you have peace and comfort knowing that he is no longer suffering in his physical life.
To the Qualls family. My heart is with you and your family at this time of your loss. There is comfort in knowing God’s promises about the resurrection hope. (Acts 24:15) and (John 5:28,29) In the past God has resurrected humans and He is eager to do it again because He hates death.
